I’m Koa Kellenberger, a Japanese/American creative based in Los Angeles. My background is in film editing, but my work spans various disciplines, and focuses on bridging cultures through thoughtful, creative design.
When I create, I always ask myself two questions:
What is the context?
How does it make someone feel?
Raised in Tokyo, now living in Los Angeles, I've learned from straddling two worlds that good design isn't universal, it's highly contextual. Nice-looking work is a good start, but it's not the end goal. The end goal is art that understands and respects context, culture, community, language, and uses that knowledge effectively to leave a lasting impact.
